Meet Brooke

Artistry and Science! Brooke has it all.

What company’s need today is a coming together of the art of storytelling with the science of analytics behind their marketing and public relations campaigns. It’s rare that these two (artistry and science) can come together within the same individual, which is why often Marketing and Public Relations are not the responsibility of one individual within a company structure. However, if they can be combined in one-person great things can happen.

Brooke Baran has spent her entire professional career doing just that – training, honing and shaping her skills to become a measured, skilled communications professional. Her ability to interchangeably be a PR professional and a Marketing professional makes her unique and in high demand.

She was trained in the rigors, and fast pace of public relations at the State Capitol in Hartford, CT where she served as a press secretary for the President Pro Tempore. In this role she polished and sharpened her PR skills to become top notch. She is always ready to assist and available to her clients; she understands how to shape a story so there is always a hook that assists with placement and pickups by reporters and media outlets; she can sell the narrative of her clients; she is a connection cultivator and creates long-lasting relationships with her clients and reporters alike; she is always willing to learn each client’s business as if it is her own; and she is detailed oriented.

Subsequently, Brooke went on to run marketing and communications for one of the largest, privately owned post-secondary institutions in the Country. She oversaw a marketing budget of $8 million, leading campaigns for 5 separate brands, a sales team of 20 individuals and all aspects of marketing from traditional television, radio and print to a shift of digital marketing where she was responsible for website creation, SEO, digital leads, social media and email campaigns. It is here that Brooke learned to have data and analytics be the driving force behind all campaign decisions. She learned firsthand how to analyze leads to sales units and how to make fast, well timed marketing decisions.

Staying true to her roots Brooke also managed all communications for the schools (internal & external) as she continued to enhance her public relations skills. She has gone on to be responsible for marketing and public relations in other for-profit school groups, and has also spent time in the non-profit space enhancing messaging and communications.

Artistry and Science! Brooke has it all. She sees marketing through a public relations lens and public relations through a marketing lens. Ultimately, her training allows her to be a true communications professional for all of your needs.
